CHICAGO, Ill. - The Chicago Red Stars ended Challenge Cup play with a 2-1 loss to the Kansas City Current today.

Despite the loss, the Red Stars were able to control possession (57%), take more shots in the box (7) and complete more passes in the final third (109) than Kansas City
DiBernardo and Wright showed their veteran leadership today and were among the top five players in shots, shots on target, chances created, completed passes in the final third and crosses attempted
St-Georges had a dynamic Challenge Cup, finding herself in dangerous positions to score in multiple games. St-Georges efforts finally paid off this game when she was able to sneak in a shot after a floating cross from Ella Stevens found her in the box. That is St-Georges' second Challenge Cup goal in her career
