CHICAGO, Ill. - Despite holding the lead in the first half, the Red Stars fell to the Kansas City Current by a score of 2-1 at SeatGeek Stadium.

'21 Vanesssa DiBernardo takes a shot from outside the box that deflects off of a Current player and finds the back of the net

This is Kansas City's first win against the Red Stars in their club's history.
The Red Stars dominated possession throughout the game, and completed 214 passes in Kansas City's half. The Current only completed 181 passes in the Red Stars' half.
Despite not much time on the field together, Zoe Morse and Kayla Sharples were able to combine for nine clearances, leading the team's back line.
