
Chicago Red Stars Announce 2022 Local Broadcast Schedule

Chicago, Ill. - The Chicago Red Stars today announced their 2022 local broadcast schedule which includes eight games that will be carried live on The U, WMEU Channel 48.1 and WCIU Channel 26.2 and/or UniMas.
"We are thrilled to be able to bring eight of our regular-season matches to our fans on local, linear TV. This exposure in the Chicagoland area is just another step forward in elevating the Red Stars brand. It also importantly provides additional exposure for our largest corporate partners during the broadcasts," said Vicky Lynch, the Red Stars' Chief Business Officer.
"Professional women's sports deserve the broadest possible platform in Chicago. We look forward to sharing these matches on broadcast television on The U," said Steven Farber, Weigel Broadcasting's Senior Vice President of Operations.
"We are eager to grow our partnership with the Chicago Red Stars, it is important that we support and highlight the talented women who continue to shine on the soccer field and in the community," said Edna Uribe, Vice President of Sales for Univision Chicago.
This season fans will have more ways to enjoy Red Stars matches, both home and away, with matches available on CBS Sports Network (1), Paramount+ (15), Twitch (6) UniMas (4), and The U (7). All matches will be streamed live internationally on Twitch.
Calling games for the Red Stars on The U this season will be long-time broadcaster, Dan Kelly, and former Chicago Red Star player Jackie Santacaterina Manny. Kelly brings twenty-five years of experience to the club, handling play by play for professional and college sports on ESPN and the Big Ten Network. Manny played for the Chicago Red Stars for 5 years, in both the WPS and NWSL. A Chicagoland native, she embodied the club's grit and determination on the field. Since her retirement, Manny has established herself as a talented color analyst working extensively on Big Ten soccer matches.
The U is seen on WMEU, Channel 48.1 and WCIU, Channel 26.2, XFINITY 230|360, RCN 610, WOW 170, Dish 48, Spectrum Charter 191 and U-Verse 24.
