HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL - The Chicago Mustangs, proud members of the Major Arena Soccer League (www.MASLSoccer.com), lose to the Ontario Fury 5-6 at home on January 17.
The Fury started the game with a good portion of possession and scoring the first two goals. At 9:53, Alexis Camarena, assisted by Adolfo "Bofo" Bautista, puts the Mustangs on the scoreboard, 1-2. Attempts by Ephrain "Wilo" Martinez and Adolfo "Bofo" Bautista don't add up. At 14:05, the Fury score another goal. The first quarter ends with the Mustangs down, 1-3.
The Mustangs start the second quarter with more possession and a few shots that don't make it to the back of the net. At 7:42, the Fury score a goal, 1-4. Playing a physical game with several fouls results in the Fury scoring another goal at 10:07. The Mustangs respond with a goal by Efrain "Wilo" Martinez and the quarter ends with the Mustangs down 2-5.
The Mustangs return from halftime determined for a win scoring two goals during the third quarter. Efrain "Wilo" Martinez gets his second goal of the game with an assist from Miguel Vaca and Ricardo Carvalho gets his first goal of the game on a powerplay. The third quarter ends with the Mustangs down by one, 4-5.
The fourth quarter starts with shots taken but missed by Mustangs Efrain "Wilo" Martinez, Alexis Camarena and Miguel Vaca. At 9:58, the Mustangs bring the game to a 5-5 tie with a goal by Adolfo "Bofo" Bautista assisted by Luis Ortega. At 11:50, the Fury respond with a goal and the quarter ends with the Mustangs down, 5-6.
The Mustangs next game is away against the St. Louis Ambush on Saturday, January 29 at 7:35 p.m. On January 30 the Mustangs play the Syracuse Knights at home at 7:35 p.m. To order tickets, call the Chicago Mustangs at 847-805-6633.
