Chicago Mustangs Crush Comets 10-3 and Move into First Place in the Central Division

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL - The Chicago Mustangs, proud members of the Major Arena Soccer League (www.MASLSoccer.com), crush the Missouri Comets 10-3 and now sit atop the Central Division.

The Chicago Mustangs came out inspired and very organized the first quarter. At 7:21, Adolfo "Bofo" Bautista put the Mustangs on the scoreboard. Jesus Flores came up huge making unbelievable saves denying the Comets multiple goal scoring opportunities. The quarter ended with the Mustangs up 1-0.

The second quarter started with the Chicago Mustangs displaying strong defense. Jesus Flores shuts out the Comets with more tremendous saves and Efrain "Wilo" Martinez scoring the teams second goal with a left-footed bomb at 6:11. Taylor Bond, assisted by Luis Ortega, extends the Mustangs lead with a goal at 13:52. The quarter ended with the Chicago Mustangs up 3-0.

After halftime, the Comets still don't have much possession of the ball and when they do they cannot beat Mustangs goal keeper Jesus Flores. Adolfo "Bofo" Bautista takes some shots but no goals. The third quarter ends with the Mustangs up 3-0.

The fourth quarter starts with the Comets getting their first goal of the night at at :24. The Mustangs quickly respond at :47 with Taylor Bond's second goal of the night, assisted by Alexis Camarena, 4-1. At 2:48, Alexis Camarena, assisted by Adolfo "Bofo" Bautista, gets his first goal of the night, 5-1. Finding the net at every attacking sequence, Osvaldo Rojas Riveria, assisted by Joshio Sandoval, scores another goal for the Mustangs at 4:17. The Comets bring the score to 6-3 with two goals by Assadpour. The Comets are reminded of the high energy the Mustangs have been playing with as Adolfo "Bofo" Bautista scores his second goal of the night, 7-3. Miguel Vaca scores his first goal at 14:10 bringing the game the lead to 8-3. With Osvaldo Rojas Riveria second goal at 14:24, the Chicago Mustangs are up 9-3. Taylor Bond gets his hat trick with an empty net goal and the game ends with the Chicago Mustangs leaving the Comets behind 10-3.

The Mustangs next two games will be played at home at the Sears Centre Arena. On Saturday, January 16 at 7:05 p.m., the Mustangs play the Harrisburg Heat. On Sunday, January 17 at 3:05 p.m., the Mustangs will take on the Ontario Fury. To order tickets, call the Chicago Mustangs at 847-805-6633.
