
Chicago Fire to Donate Food to Greater Chicago Food Depository Ahead of Thanksgiving Weekend

CHICAGO, IL (Nov. 18, 2010) - The Chicago Fire Soccer Club, in conjunction with the Chicago Fire Foundation, will be donating non-perishable food items to the Greater Chicago Food Depository, ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, on Monday, Nov. 22 at 11:00 AM CT. Fire mascot Sparky will be at Pacific Garden Mission, a member agency of the Greater Chicago Food Depository, to deliver the non-perishable donations that will provide food for the less fortunate in an attempt to end hunger in the Chicagoland community.
Fire fans and staff members will collect non-perishable food items to donate to Pacific Garden Mission this Saturday, Nov. 20 when the club holds its annual Season End Locker Room Sale at TOYOTA PARK. Fans that donate a minimum of five non-perishable food items for the Greater Chicago Food Depository will receive a coupon for an additional 10% off their entire purchase.
