November 18, 2010 - Major League Soccer (MLS) News Release

TORONTO (November 18, 2010) - Major League Soccer players and executives today joined forces with The Home Depot associates, members of Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada's Toronto Kiwanis Boys and Girls Clubs, and local volunteers to refurbish the Boys and Girls Club location at St. Mary Catholic School in just one day. Volunteers and MLS players worked together to refurbish the Club by building a new front desk, boot/coat cabinets, computer lab cabinets/desks, benches, storage and shelving, as well as painting a wall mural inspired by Boys and Girls Club members.

Today's day of service is part of a partnership between The Home Depot and MLS W.O.R.K.S., Major League Soccer's community outreach initiative. The event refurbished a facility where children learn and play as part of the 2010 MLS Cup festivities. The new facility will provide a safe, clean and modern environment for nearly 100 local area Boys and Girls Club members.

The project is part of The Home Depot's ongoing commitment to giving back to the communities its stores serve. The project is funded through a grant from The Home Depot.

Edson Buddle (LA Galaxy), Dwayne De Rosario (Toronto FC), Sbastien Le Toux (Philadelphia Union), Javier Morales (Real Salt Lake), Jamison Olave (Real Salt Lake), Pat Onstad (Houston Dynamo), Alvaro Saborio (Real Salt Lake), Chris Wondolowski (San Jose Earthquakes) and MLS Commissioner Don Garber participated in today's event.
