
Chicago Fire Soccer Club In The Community Update

CHICAGO, IL (June 1, 2010) - The Chicago Fire is participating in a series of community events across the Chicagoland area over this week. Throughout the year, the Fire participate in hundreds of community events to work with youth, charities and other organizations to promote the game of soccer by advocating wellness, healthy lifestyle choices, physical activities and education.
This week's events feature Chicago Fire players Corben Bone and Kwame Watson-Siriboe for the kick off of the Fire's 2010 Community Soccer Series on Wednesday, June 2 at TOYOTA PARK's turf field. In addition, Fire mascot Sparky will be featured in Salvation Army's 72nd Annual Donut Day on Friday, June 4 at James R. Thompson Center, along with other fun events throughout the weekend. Last but not least, Fire midfielder Peter Lowry will be attending the Athletes Against Drugs' Pairing Party on Sunday, June 6 at Hotel Arista.
