Chicago Fire FC News Release
CHICAGO - Chicago Fire FC today announced that the Club has signed Chicago Fire FC II goalkeeper Mihajlo Mišković (pronounced: mee-HA-low MIS-koh-vich) to a Short-Term Agreement. Mišković will be available for selection for today's MLS regular season road match against Toronto FC at BMO Field.
Mišković, 23, signed an MLS NEXT Pro professional contract in March 2022, returning to his hometown Club having played with the Chicago Fire Academy after moving to the Chicago area from Zemun, Serbia, as a teenager.
Prior to signing with Chicago Fire II, Mišković played the previous five seasons at Northwestern University in Chicago, including the 2021 season as a graduate student. Overall, he made 62 appearances (41 starts) for the Wildcats. In 2021, Mišković led the Wildcats to the Big Ten Tournament semifinals, saving a penalty during regulation time to keep the score at 0-0, and another in the penalty kick shootout to advance past No. 10 Maryland, before falling to eventual tournament finalist Indiana University.
Per MLS rules, a Club may sign a player from its affiliate (MLS NEXT Pro or USL) to a maximum of four Short-Term Agreements (up to four-day contracts) each season (maximum of 16 days). An individual player may be included on up to four MLS league season match rosters each season, however, that player may appear in no more than two MLS league season matches. An individual player may appear in any number of non-league games during the terms of his four Short-Term Agreements.
Mišković holds a U.S. green card and does not occupy an international slot on the Club's MLS NEXT Pro roster.
