Chicago Fire FC News Release
CHICAGO - Chicago Fire FC today announced that the Club has named Chicago radio personality Gabe Ramirez as In-Stadium Host for home matches during the 2023 MLS season.
"I'm super excited to join the Chicago Fire family," said Ramirez. "My mission has always been to unite the city and few teams do that better than the Fire. It's going to be a fun season and I look forward to adding a little sazón to the already amazing game day production."
Ramirez, who is Puerto Rican, was born and raised in Chicago and can be heard over the Chicagoland airwaves during the week on 670 The Score. The dynamic host also works as a sports contributor on Fox 32 News and as a radio host on B96 in Chicago. He lives in Chicago with his wife and two daughters.
As the In-Game Host, Ramirez will be found all over the stadium on Chicago Fire home matchdays, interacting with fans, presenting unique matchday experiences and generally bringing Chicago Fire fans closer to the game and players at every Fire home match.
"The energy and excitement that Gabe brings to Chicago Fire games is contagious and we're excited to have him with us for every home game," said Chicago Fire Vice President of Integrated Marketing & Matchday Experience Megan Cantwell. "You would be hard-pressed to find someone who loves Chicago as much as Gabe, and his love for our city and Club spills over into every part of his personality."
Chicago returns to the lakefront to host the New York Red Bulls on at 7:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, April 29, at Soldier Field. Tickets for the match can be purchased here. The match will be broadcast live on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV+ and transmitted locally in Spanish on TUDN 1200 AM.
