
Chicago Fire FC Announces 2024 Preseason Training Camp Roster

CHICAGO (Jan. 15, 2024) - Chicago Fire FC today announced the Club's 2024 preseason training camp roster ahead of the team beginning its preparation for the new season today at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
The Fire's current preseason roster includes 27 players from the First Team, two players from MLS NEXT Pro side Chicago Fire FC II, and three MLS SuperDraft selections. Recent First Team acquisitions Allan Arigoni and Tobias Salquist will train with partner club, FC Lugano, until their P-1 Visas have been approved.
Chicago will kick off preseason at IMG Academy on Monday, Jan. 15. The Fire will train at IMG Academy from Jan. 15-27 and will play a pair of exhibition matches against USL Championship side Loudoun United FC on Tuesday, Jan. 23 at 9 a.m. CT and the New York Red Bulls on Saturday, Jan. 27 at 9:30 a.m. CT.
During the first week of preseason training camp in Florida, Head Coach Frank Klopas, midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri and winger Chris Mueller will be available to media members virtually, beginning at 12 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Jan. 17. Media members may register for the call HERE.
For the second half of preseason, the Club will return to Chicago and train at SeatGeek Stadium before traveling to Coachella Valley, Calif. on Monday, Feb. 5.
While in California, the Fire will participate in the Coachella Valley Invitational, a preseason tournament featuring several MLS clubs taking place from Feb. 5-17. The Fire will begin tournament play against Austin FC on Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 12 p.m. CT, then face LAFC on Sunday, Feb. 11 at 1:30 p.m. CT, Minnesota United FC on Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 3 p.m. CT, before closing out their preseason slate against the Portland Timbers on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 2 p.m. CT.
All matches will take place at Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif. Fans can purchase tickets to attend the Coachella Valley Invitational.
Following the tournament, the Fire will return to Chicago on Sunday, Feb. 17 for its final preparations prior to their season opener at the Philadelphia Union on Saturday, Feb. 24.
