Chicago Fire Defender Jonathan Campbell Diagnosed with Facial Fracture

CHICAGO - The Chicago Fire Soccer Club announced Sunday that defender Jonathan Campbell has been diagnosed with a compressed fracture of the zygomaticomaxillary complex on his left side.

Campbell will undergo an open reduction, internal fixation of the fracture on Monday, Feb. 26. The procedure will be performed by Dr. Peter Revenaugh at Rush University Medical Center.

Campbell suffered the injury in the second half of the Fire's preseason match against Nashville SC on Feb. 21. His estimated recovery time is six weeks.
