Green Bay Blizzard News Release

The Green Bay Blizzard has announced that international recording artist and Oscar-winning actress "Cher" (aka Frank) will be making her final appearance at the Resch Center for the third time during halftime of the Saturday, May 13th Blizzard game against the Macon Knights.

It will mark the third time that "Cher" will perform her final show ever at the Resch Center, and the first time that she will be portrayed by Frank, the incomparable performer and namesake of Frank's Dinner Theater in Green Bay. "Cher" will perform two of her timeless hits during the game's halftime festivities, and is sure to thrill and enthrall fans of all ages.

Frank returns to the Resch Center to perform at a Blizzard game for the second consecutive year. During halftime of the June 11th, 2005 game against the Manchester Wolves, Frank channeled "The King," Elvis Presley.

The appearance of "Cher" (aka Frank) is being presented by St. Mary's Hospital. Kris Nystrom, spokesperson for SMH, said that "Cher" is the perfect performer to sing on "Ladies Night." "To be able to have a star of ‘Cher's' stature appear at a Blizzard game is truly an honor," she quipped. "She's had such a great career that she's on her third swing of her ‘Farewell Tour,' so we're fortunate to be able to get her."

The performance will take place on "Ladies Night," which is the same week as the 2nd Annual Green Bay Blizzard Women's Camp, presented by St. Mary's Hospital's A Woman's Place & YOU Magazine. At the Camp, ladies 18 and over can join the team on the field and experience exactly what the players experience.

Here is a preview of the activities that will take place during the Women's Camp:

- Pre-game warm-ups - Stretching, calisthenics, and direction from the coaches
- Kick return drills - Catching the ball off the nets and following blocks
- Passing drills - Taking the snap and throwing to Blizzard receivers downfield
- Receiving drills - Learning to run routes, then catching passes from Blizzard QBs
- Lineman drills - Learn how to block from the men in the trenches, the Blizzard OL/DL

There is no cost to participate in the Women's Camp, which will be held at the Resch Center from 6:00-7:30pm on Tuesday, May 9th. The Camp will be limited to the first 100 participants to register. All participants will receive a Women's Camp t-shirt, a ticket to the Blizzard vs. Macon Knights game later that week, and a goody bag compliments of St. Mary's Hospital's A Woman's Place & YOU Magazine.
