FC Tulsa News Release
TULSA - FC Tulsa has signed Chelsea Academy product Harvey St Clair for the 2024 USL Championship season. Born in London, 25-year-old St Clair rose through the ranks in Chelsea's academy alongside Reece James and Mason Mount.
"We are excited to welcome Harvey to Tulsa!" Head Coach Mario Sanchez said. "Harvey brings a tremendous amount of international experience to the club. As a former Chelsea Academy player and Scottish youth international player, Harvey has spent the last few years in Italy gaining valuable playing time. His tremendous work ethic on both sides of the ball and his attacking ability are qualities that we look for in players. Most importantly, Harvey has a winning mentality and he wants to be part of a winning culture."
"I'm really happy to be joining the club and can't wait to get started in Tulsa." St Clair said.
During his time at the Chelsea Academy, St Clair notched seven goals with Chelsea's U18s along with three in the FA Youth Cup. While in the academy, St Clair played alongside Reece James and was a part of the U18 squad that won the Premier League title during the 2016-2017 season.
St Clair also earned three caps for Scotland Youth National Team, including a 2-1 win over U19 South Korea.
At the age of 19, St Clair turned down first team contract offers from both Chelsea and Watford to establish himself with Italian side Venezia FC.
St Clair spent the last two years of his five-year Venezia contract on loan to several clubs, including U.S. Triestina Calcio 1918.
During his time at Triestina, St Clair recorded 2 goals for the club and also reached a quarterfinal playoff contest during the 2021-2022 season. FC Tulsa recently announced a landmark partnership with Triestina on player collaboration.
FC Tulsa will take the pitch at ONEOK Field on April 5 for their 2024 season home opener. To purchase your season tickets, visit https://www.fctulsa.com/2024-season-tickets/.
