
Chavis to Debut in Lowell

LOWELL, MA - Boston Red Sox top prospect Michael Chavis will return from his 80-game PED suspension and begin his 2018 season with the Lowell Spinners starting Monday, July 2nd. Chavis will make his season debut tonight playing third base and batting third for the Spinners.
Chavis, a consensus top-100 prospect in all of baseball, last played for the Portland Sea Dogs in 2017 and was named the Red Sox Minor League Offensive Player of the Year after hitting 31 home runs between High-A Salem and Portland. A first-round pick in 2014, Chavis has never played for the Spinners before today.
The Spinners will play at home both tonight and tomorrow, July 3rd, before heading to Norwich, CT for a three-game series with the Connecticut Tigers. First pitch for both games are scheduled for 6:35. Tickets are on sale now at lowellspinners.com.
