
Cutters Slip In The Rain

Williamsport saw an early lead dissolve as they fell 5-3 in a rain shortened game against the Auburn Doubledays.
Alec Bohm finished the night 2 for 4 with an RBI, as the Phillies 1st rounder recorded his first multi-hit game in a Cutters uniform.
Danny Mayer finished 2 for 3 with his 4th double of the season. Ben Pelletier finished the night 2 for 3 with an RBI, as the Cutter collected nine hits, with seven coming in the first three innings.
Jake Perkins allowed one run on three hits in two innings. James McArthur allowed one run on two hits in two innings. Both made their Crosscutters debut in a piggy-back start. Perkins struck out four and McArthur struck out three.
Juan Escorcia took the loss, allowing three runs on four hits and six walks while striking out six batters.
Cutters pitchers collected 12 strikeouts on the night, two shy of their season-high.
Williamsport has dropped their last four games, their longest losing streak of the season.
