Chasers Topped by the RedHawks, 10-5

Omaha Storm Chasers News Release
OMAHA, Neb. - The Omaha Storm Chasers lost their fourth consecutive game at home as they fell, 10-5, to the Oklahoma City RedHawks on Wednesday night. Reliever Tommy Hottovy was hit with his second loss of the season after getting roughed up for five runs (three earned) after working two-thirds of the eighth inning.
With the Chasers (58-40) leading Oklahoma City (57-40) 5-4 heading in to the eighth, Hottovy was summoned to pitch in relief of fellow fireman, Roman Colon. Hottovy recorded a fly out then gave up a walk, a single and a two-run double to OKC's Matt Dominguez to relinquish the lead. Another RBI single put Omaha in a bigger hole while an error and a run-scoring double knocked Hottovy from the contest and rounded out the scoring for the eighth.
The Storm Chasers snatched a 1-0 lead in the third when Adam Moore reached on an error, advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Irving Falu, darted to third on a Johnny Giavotella groundout and came home when Tony Abreu was plunked with the bases juiced.
The RedHawks broke out for four runs in the fifth when Brandon Barnes connected for a grand slam off of Colon who was just put in for starter Ethan Hollingsworth. Three of the runs were charged to Hollingsworth while one was credited to Colon.
The Chasers trailed by just a run at 4-3 after two runs scored when a David Lough grounder squeaked through the legs of Oklahoma City's first baseman. Omaha then tied the ballgame in the sixth when Falu laced a double and scored on a RBI single by Clint Robinson. The good guys grabbed a 5-4 lead in the seventh when Falu's sac fly scored Max Ramirez.
The RedHawks could not be denied however as they broke out for five in the eighth and added one final run in the ninth off of Blaine Hardy.
The Storm Chasers will look to end their losing-streak at four games as they take on Oklahoma City in the finale of their four-game series on Thursday at 7:05 p.m. On Thursday, Aflac presents Cancer Awareness night. In honor of this evening, a special jersey will be worn during Thursday's game, signed by the players who will wear them and auctioned off after the game with the all the proceeds going to raise money for the Aflac Children's Cancer Center. In addition to the jersey auction, it is Thirsty Thursday ¢ at Werner Park. Fans can enjoy $1 Bud Light draws, $1 Busch Light cans prior to the sixth inning and $1 Pepsi products all night.
