Sutton-Brown

Sting center Tammy Sutton-Brown recorded a season-high 18 points (7-of-9 from the field), seven rebounds and four blocked shots as the Sting snapped a four game losing streak on June 11 at Phoenix. She is averaging 11.0 ppg, 5.8 rpg and 1.88 bpg in 2004.

League Leaders

The Sting have several players who are ranked among the league's top 10 leaders. Nicole Powell leads the league in three point field goal percentage at 60.0% (6-10). Charlotte Smith-Taylor is ranked second in field goal percentage at 59.6% (28-47) while Tammy Sutton-Brown is ranked third at 54.7% (29-53). Sutton-Brown is tied for third with Tamika Catchings in blocks per game at 1.88 bpg. Allison Feaster is ranked seventh in free throw percentage at 90.0% (18-20).

Father's Day Special

All fathers attending the Charlotte Sting vs. Los Angeles Sparks game with their children on Sunday, June 20 will receive a free ticket with the purchase of a $25, $20, or $12 ticket. The first 2,500 fans will receive mini basketball hoops courtesy of Dr. Seitlin. Halftime will feature the Kenya Acrobats.

Dine Out For Kids

The Charlotte Sting is teaming up with a local charity, Communities In Schools (CIS), to support the organization's annual fundraiser, Dine Out For Kids ®. The event offers area restaurants and their patrons the opportunity to demonstrate their support for children in need in our community. On Tuesday, June 15, more than 40 participating restaurants will donate a portion of the day's sales to Communities In Schools (CIS). All YOU have to do is dine out before taking in the Sting vs. San Antonio Silver Stars games on June 15. Visit www.charlottesting.com for a list of participating restaurants.

ON TV

Catch the Sting on WJZY-UPN 46 on July 18 at 4:00 p.m. as they travel to New York to face the Liberty and on July 31 at 10:00 p.m. as they play the Monarchs in Sacramento. The Sting will conclude their season on ESPN2 at 2:00 p.m. as they travel to Detroit on September 19.
