The winner of the Battery-Tormenta match will face the winner of the Atlanta United-Charlotte Independence game in the Round of 16. Should the Battery advance, they will host again in the Round of 16.
Tickets for the match are on sale now via SeatGeek.com. Season Members can claim tickets to the game free of charge via their Membership portal on SeatGeek. Tickets for all other fans will be $9 for GA and Supporters Sections and $10 for Premium and Reserved Sections.
Fans across the country can stream the match for free at watch.usopencup.com or USLsoccer.com/watch.
"I love the U.S. Open Cup, I played in it as a player, coached in it with an amateur team, coached in it with two USL sides," said Head Coach Ben Pirmann. "So, you get to see every side of it, it's fun, it's exciting. Most importantly, it's another opportunity for us to represent the Black and Yellow. There's been so much success with this club, we want to continue to take it one day at a time and put our best foot forward."
Charleston will aim to add another chapter to their storied history in the competition and in slaying the giants in MLS in Open Cup play. The Battery were 2008 Open Cup finalists, defeating Houston Dynamo FC and FC Dallas along the way, and have also taken down Chicago Fire, Chivas USA and San Jose Earthquakes in the tournament since then.
