
Charleston Battery Looks to Reverse Loss in Wilmington

Charleston, SC. The Charleston Battery takes on the Wilmington Hammerheads on Saturday night in a USL PRO match at Legion Stadium, Wilmington, NC. Kick off is set for 7:30 PM as the Battery look to reverse last weeks 1-0 loss versus the Hammerheads.
Saturday's game will be available locally on ESPN Radio 910 The Team with a live web stream also available via www.charlestonbattery.com.
Wilmington midfielder Paul Nicholson scored the lone goal last weekend in the 4th minute of the match. Charleston pressed for an equalizer and despite playing the final thirty minutes with a man advantage were unable to find the breakthrough.
Charleston and Wilmington both played midweek games in the US Open Cup; the Battery defeated Panama City 4-0 behind a goal from Michael Chang and a hat-trick from Haviel Cordoves. Wilmington lost 3-1 to Chattanooga FC and were eliminated from the tournament.
In 2013 the Battery played the Wilmington Hammerheads twice winning the home fixture by a score of four goals to two on May 11 then losing 2-1 in the return game in Wilmington on August 2.
The Wilmington Hammerheads missed the playoffs in 2013 a year after advancing to the 2012 Championship game where they lost 1-0 to the Charleston Battery.
Family Night - Saturday, May 24Charleston's next home game is set for Saturday, May 24 versus the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. The game is the first Family Night of the season presented by Dr. Kevin Riker and the staff of Charleston Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Fans can purchase special Family Packs for $30 that include: 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs and 4 sodas.
