Charleston Battery away games broadcast on Real 1340 AM in 2007

Charleston SC. The Charleston Battery has teamed up with Real 1340 AM for the 2007 season; Real 1340 will broadcast live all Charleston Battery away games starting this Saturday as the Battery travel to Cary, NC for a 7:30 PM match versus the Carolina Railhawks.

Kirkman Broadcasting Program Director Ted Byrne,

"We have a brand new schedule on Real 1340 and the high energy talk shows that we now have blend in perfectly with Charleston Battery Soccer. We're always trying to fit the right team on the right station and the Battery is a perfect match with Real 1340."

Real 1340 AM is a part of the Kirkman Broadcasting group that also includes the Battery's previous radio station CNN 1450 AM and ESPN Radio 910 The Team. The Charleston Battery Weekly Radio Show will continue to air exclusively on ESPN Radio 910 The Team each Tuesday night from 6 - 7 PM. The weekly show is broadcast live from Manny's Neighborhood Grill in West Ashley, 1682, Old Towne Road.

For the ninth consecutive year Charleston Battery play-by-play will be handled by Andrew Bell. All Charleston Battery games (home and away) are also available on the USL's new broadband internet broadcast channel USLlive.com. Gordon Chin named to USL Team of the Week

Charleston Battery midfielder Gordon Chin has been named to the USL First Division Team of the Week for a second consecutive week. Chin had a hand in both Charleston goals last Saturday as the Battery defeated Miami FC by a score of two goals to none.
