Published on May 16, 2007 under USL First Division (USL-1) News Release
TAMPA, FL -- United Soccer Leagues announced a partnership with Style & Graphics Inc (STAGR) to create an online store that will allow fans and customers to create customizable merchandise as well as allow them to purchase generic items such as USL hats and the USL match ball.
"We are excited about our partnership with STAGR and the launch of the new USL merchandise store," said USL Director of Business Development James Ward. "USL has a very loyal and creative fan following that we feel this is perfectly suited for. They now can create their own uniquely customized merchandise to match their unrivaled individual passion for the game."
The new USL online store will allow fans to be able to select the product they would like to customize (i.e. short sleeve T, long sleeve T, etc) and then are brought to the "Configurator" screen. The Configurator allows the user to interface in the design phase by placing objects and text onto the front and/or back of the shirt. Examples of artwork that users will be able to place include league logos, team logos, generic soccer designs, and background elements. Once the objects have been placed, the user can manipulate the size, color, location, and arrangement of the individual items creating a truly unique piece of merchandise.
United Soccer Leagues also announced a special limited edition sale of the official UMBRO 2007 USL Match Ball. The game balls will be available for purchase through the USL online store.
