Charity Match Kit Revealed
August 28, 2019 - United Soccer League Championship (USL) - Hartford Athletic News Release
Hartford Athletic has revealed the special kit that will be worn for the Club's inaugural charity match on September 7th. Founding Partner Stanley Black & Decker will serve as Presenting Partner of the match to promote gender equality and women's empowerment.
The Orange kit is inspired by the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal #5. In 2015, World Leaders agreed to 17 goals for a better world by 2030. These goals have the power to end poverty, fight inequality, and stop climate change. Gender Equality is Goal #5 and is assigned the color Orange.
Jerseys worn by the players will be auctioned off after the match with the proceeds benefitting Girls for Technology. Hartford Athletic and Stanley Black & Decker will host a meet and greet with local female business leaders, sports stars, and engineers before the match which will take place in Rally Alley behind Thomas Hooker Brewery at Colt. There will also be a charity soccer clinic before the match, available exclusively to girls and women aged 6 and up. For all the info go to HartfordAthletic.com/Charity.
