The Canton Charge (31-18), presented by SecureData 365 and powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, fell on the road to the Westchester Knicks (27-20), 131-115, in Canton's penultimate matchup of the 2015-16 NBA Development League regular season.
Westchester's Rashad James broke a 26-26 deadlock at the 1:42 left in the first with a 16-foot jumper to give the Knicks a lead they wouldn't relinquish the rest of the game. The hosts' 131 points scored were the most allowed by Canton this season as Westchester hit 53-of-93 shots from the field as a team (57%).
Canton was led by Nick Minnerath's 30 points on 10-of-15 shooting and nine rebounds in 34 minutes off the bench. John Holland connected on 8-of-13 attempts for 22 points in 32 minutes. Quinn Cook scored 21 points and dished out six assists in 34 minutes. Sir'Dominic Pointer had five points, eight boards, three steals, and two blocks in 24 minutes off the bench for the Charge.
Travis Trice II led Westchester with 26 points, five rebounds, seven assists, and six steals in 37 minutes. Jordan Bachynski posted a double-double of 25 points and 10 boards in 34 minutes. James finished with 19 points in 26 minutes off the bench. All five Knicks starters scored in double figures and seven players overall as they took the season series over Canton 3-1.
