Charge Acquire Weingarten from Delaware

The Canton Charge have acquired forward Steve Weingarten (6'8", 215, La Salle) from the Delaware 87ers in exchange for forward Michael Lee and guard Bo Spencer.

Weingarten has played in 21 games with Delaware this season (one start) and averaged 8.5 points on .432 shooting with 3.7 rebounds and 0.5 steals in 19.9 minutes per game. Before coming to the D-League, he played for the Goldfield Giants of the SBL in Australia during the 2012-13 season. Weingarten was a three-year letterman at La Salle University (2008-11).

Lee played in 23 games for Canton and averaged 5.1 points and 3.0 rebounds in 15.8 minutes per game. Spencer played in 25 games (two starts) and averaged 9.3 points on .365 shooting with 3.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 24.2 minutes per game. The Charge roster now stands at 11.
