
Championship Series Yields One More Buck Night

Charleston, WV (September 8, 2008) - This past Saturday night the West Virginia Power were crowned the Northern Division Champions for the second consecutive year, defeating the Lake County Captains 4-1. The Power now face the Augusta GreenJackets in a best of five series for the title of 2008 South Atlantic League Champion. The team is on the road Monday and Tuesday at Augusta and will return home on Thursday, September 11.
Thursday night's game will feature limited BUCK NIGHT specials such as $1 hot dogs and fountain and draft beverages. Tickets for the game are $6 and $8 and on sale now at the Power Box Office. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
Participants from the World's Strongest Man Competition are also expected to attend the game. ESPN Commentator and former WSM Champion Bill Kazmaier will throw out the first pitch. The final event of the competition will be held at Appalachian Power Park this Sunday with gates opening at 6:30 pm.
