
Champion Hens Get A New Look

Toledo Mud Hens News Release
When the defending International League Champions take the field for Opening Day (Thursday, April 6), they will be sporting brand new uniforms.
For home games, the Mud Hens will wear sleeveless white jersey vest with navy pinstripes. The jersey has "Mud Hens" in a unique font exclusive to the Mud Hens. The unique font is accented by a yellow feather that doubles as part of the "E" in Mud Hens. The undershirt worn under the jersey vest will be navy with the Mud Hens new primary logo patch on the left sleeve, and a patch to commemorate the 2006 Triple-A All Star Game on the right sleeve. The Mud Hens will wear white pants with navy pinstripes, and top off the home uniform with the traditional navy blue "T-logo" cap.
On Sundays and special occasions at Fifth Third Field, the Mud Hens will wear their alternate uniform. The alternate uniform is the sleeveless white jersey vest with navy pinstripes and "Mud Hens" in their unique font and feather. A red undershirt with the primary logo patch and 2006 Triple-A All-Star game patch is used under the jersey vest. The Mud Hens will wear white pants with navy pinstripes and top off the alternate uniform with a new alternate hat. The alternate hat is a red cap with a navy visor and has the new version of Muddy's head on the front.
For road games, the Mud Hens will wear a gray jersey vest with navy pinstripes and "Toledo" spelled out in the unique font. The jersey is accented by the new swinging Muddy logo standing in front of the T in Toledo. The Mud Hens will wear a navy undershirt with the primary logo patch on the left sleeve and the 2006 Triple-A All-Star game patch on the right sleeve. The Mud Hens will wear gray pants with navy pinstripes on the road and top off the uniform with a navy cap with a red visor that has the new version of Muddy's head on the front. Because of the popularity of the Hens unique name, for many years the "Mud Hens" name adorned the road uniforms as well.
The Mud Hens also have a special uniform for batting practice. The batting practice jersey is a navy mesh jersey with white piping. The new swinging Muddy logo is on the left chest on the jersey. The Mud Hens will also wear a special cap for batting practice. The cap is navy mesh with a red mesh visor and the swinging Muddy logo on the front.
