Club de Foot Montreal News Release
MONTREAL - Following a brief but successful road trip to the American Midwest last week, CF Montréal is set to host Orlando City SC this Saturday at 7:30pm EDT at Stade Saputo (Apple MLS Season Pass, RDS, TSN, BPM Sports, TSN 690).
The Club will take the opportunity at halftime to induct former captain Patrice Bernier to its Wall of Fame. For the occasion, the first 5,000 fans to arrive at Stade Saputo this Saturday as of 6pm will receive an exclusive Patrice Bernier poster upon admission.
The Montrealers will be looking to make it four straight wins across all competitions. In their last outing, the Bleu-blanc-noir defeated Sporting Kansas City 2-0 at Children's Mercy Park.
The Lions, currently ranked eighth in the East with a 4-3-2 record, head north to Montreal after shutting out the LA Galaxy 2-0 at home last Saturday. The visitors will be looking to make it two wins in a row, a feat they have yet to accomplish in nine MLS games this season.
Montreal has an overall home record of 8-7-3 against Orlando. At Stade Saputo, the record is 4-3-0. Montreal's most recent home win was the 2-0 victory on October 16 in the first round of the 2022 MLS Cup playoffs.
CF Montréal is set to embark on a stretch of five matches in 15 days. After Saturday's meeting with Orlando, Montreal will cross paths with archrivals Toronto FC in back-to-back games. The first will take place on Tuesday, May 9, at 7pm at BMO Field as part of the quarterfinals of the Canadian Championship. Montreal will then host TFC four days later at Stade Saputo in MLS play, the centrepiece match of the Club's 30th anniversary celebrations.
