Cesky is Oakley CHL Player of the Week

Tulsa Oilers left winger Jaroslav Cesky (pronounced CHESS-key) has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday December 18.

Cesky figured in seven of the Oilers five goals this weekend, as Tulsa won two home contests, defeating Memphis, 2-1 and beating Wichita 5-4. He had three goals and two assists. Cesky scored the first goal in each of the games, and two of his three goals were shorthanded. In the Wichita game, he had four points on two goals and two assists.

The big week for Cesky moved him to the top of the Oilers scoring chart. He now leads the team with 25 points on the strength of 11 goals and 14 assists.

The Oilers have three road games this week, playing at Colorado on Wednesday and Friday, and at Oklahoma City Sunday night. Their next home game is Tuesday December 27th against Fort Worth at 7 p.m. Oilers ticket information is available by calling the Oilers office at (918) 632-7825.
