Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs News Release

BOSSIER CITY, LA -- With his team's victory on Saturday night at the CenturyTel Center, Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs Head Coach Scott Muscutt earned the 200th win of his professional coaching career. He becomes the eighth head coach in CHL/WPHL history to reach the mark and the fifth fastest (345 games) behind only Doug Sauter, Doug Shedden, Chris Stewart, and Bruce Garber.

Muscutt, 34, is currently in his sixth season behind the bench for the Mudbugs and has led the team to four playoff appearances and two trips to the President's Cup Finals in his five previous seasons. The Appin, Ontario native also becomes the second CHL head coach to reach the 200-win milestone this year as he joins Odessa's Don McKee, who accomplished the feat last week, in the elite club.

"We've been fortunate to have some great players here in Bossier-Shreveport and in particular guys with a passion to win," said Muscutt. "I'm honored to have been able to work with them and thanks to their dedication and our organization's dedication I'm able to join a list with some great coaches in our league."

On Thursday night at 7:05 p.m., the Wichita Thunder will make their first visit to the CenturyTel Center since last season's Northern Conference Semifinals playoff series. Then on Friday, the Mudbugs will travel to Memphis to take on the Memphis RiverKings at 7:05 p.m. For more information, please call 318-752-2847.
