
Cervenak sinks PawSox with Home Run

Mike Cervenak hit a two run homer in the sixth inning on Saturday afternoon to lead Buffalo to a 4-2 win at McCoy. Pawtucket had a 2-0 lead after Daniel Nava and Bubba Bell had rbi singles for the PawSox. R.A. Dickey, who had pitched a complete game against the Sox ten days ago, went 8 innings for the win. Nava and Bell accounted for 4 of the 6 Pawtucket hits. Aaron Bates and Matt Sheely had the other safeties. Former Pawtucket standout Chris Carter went 2-3 against his former club.
Randor Bierd (2-1) was the loser, despite 6 solid innings. Alan Embree turned in his second straight solid 1-2-3 inning and Dustin Richardson fanned 4 in 2 innings of relief.
The series continues on Sunday afternoon at 1:05 p.m. Pat Misch (0-0, 2.76) faces Adam Mills (0-1, 2.57).
