
Centre Back Nelson Rivas Removed from Roster

MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact announced on Tuesday that central defender Nelson Rivas has been removed from the team's roster.
The 31 year old defender has not played a regular season game in MLS in the last two seasons due to injuries, following the 11 games he played in 2012. In 2013, he only played the MLS playoff game in Houston.
This season Rivas played the first game of the Amway Canadian Championship final in Toronto before falling once again to injury.
