Celebrate Father's Day with the Potomac Nationals at Northwest Federal Field at Pfitzner Stadium on Sunday, June 17th

June 14, 2018 - Carolina League (CarL) - Potomac Nationals News Release

Woodbridge, VA - The Potomac Nationals are excited to host Father's Day, presented by Virginia Department of Social Services: Virginia Birth Father Registry, at Northwest Federal Field at Pfitzner Stadium on Sunday, June 17th, the series finale against the Buies Creek Astros (Houston Astros).

Fans can celebrate Dad's big day with a Father's Day Picnic, just a $10 add-on to any game ticket. The all-you-can-eat picnic starts when gates open (12:00pm) and lasts until a half hour into the game. The picnic menu includes hot dogs, hamburgers, pasta salad, coleslaw, baked beans, chips, cookies, and Pepsi products.

The first 1,000 adults through the gates on Father's Day can take home a Trea Turner Signature Grill Mitt, the perfect P-Nats gift for any Dad! The grill mitt, which resembles the protective mitt Turner wears while running the bases for the Washington Nationals, features Turner's signature.

During the game, fans - including fathers - can check out the Father's Day Expo, where a collection of vendors will showcase items tailored for dads.

The first 1,000 fans in attendance will be receiving a Derrick Hall Pro-State Foundation mini-bat keychain. The Derrick Hall Pro-State Foundation and Minor League Baseball have partnered to raise awareness for prostate cancer and the importance of screening and early detection. During the game, the Potomac Nationals will be raffling off a team signed bat, with proceeds from the raffle benefiting the Derrick Hall Pro-State Foundation.

This Sunday, the Potomac Nationals will wear their Military Appreciation Jerseys, presented by Reality Realty. The jerseys are worn throughout the season in order to recognize local military members and their families in order to thank them for all that they do for our country. They will be auctioned off on the final Sunday home game of the 2018 season (8/26).

As always, this Sunday will be another Kids Day Sunday at Northwest Financial Field at Pfitzner Stadium. On Sunday home games throughout the season, kids can enjoy perks during the game, including post-game Kids Run the Bases, presented by Glory Days Grill, and a post-game player autograph signing. This Sunday, the first 250 kids 12 and under will receive a free drink and hot dog.

Finally, fans can take advantage of Virginia529 Super Saver Sunday. If fans show their Virginia529 Smart Savers Club Card at the Extreme Custom Collision Ticket Office, they can receive two free grandstand tickets to the game.

First pitch between the P-Nats and the Buies Creek Astros is at 1:05pm. Gates to the ballpark will open at 12:00pm.
