(WINDSOR, ON) Home court advantage struck again, as the Windsor Express forced a Game 6 of the NBL Central Conference Finals with a 123-112 victory over the Brampton A's on Tuesday night.
With the win, the Express closed the gap in the series, narrowing Brampton's lead in the series to three-games-to-two.
Brampton pulled out the strong start, taking a 27-17 lead after the first quarter and clutched on to a 51-47 advantage at halftime.
The depth of the Express lineup showed it's worth in the third, when Kirk Williams Jr. chipped in with seven of his 16 points, helping Windsor overtake the A's 39-33 in the frame and possessed an 86-84 lead heading into the final quarter.
Jamarcus Ellis also posted six of his 10 for the game in that segment.
Thats when Chris Commons took over, scoring 15 points in the fourth, part of his 26 for the game, and at one point dropping eight straight Express points in nearly two minutes of play.
Windsor turned a two point advantage into a lead as high as 13 and cruised through the later half of the quarter to clinch the victory.
Quinnel Brown led the Express in scoring with 29 points, a game high.
Game 6 returns to the Athlete Institute in Orangeville on Friday, April 10th at 7:00pm.
The Express are organizing a fan bus to Game 6. Tickets are $35 each and include entrance into the game.
