
CBA's Best in NBA Summer Leagues

Boise, Idaho (July 10, 2002)â As the Southern California and Orlando Summer Pro Leagues launched their 2002 season this week, 28 players from 2001-02 CBA rosters have thus far been named to summer league rosters. Teams participating in the Shaw's Pro Summer League (Boston, July 15-21) and Rocky Mountain Review (Salt Lake City, July 19-27) are still developing their rosters.
So far the Miami Heat have the most 2001-02 CBA players with three, followed by the Atlanta Hawks, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers and the Memphis Grizzlies with two each. On Tuesday the Heat defeated the Milwaukee Bucks (93-75) behind a combined 37 points by 2002 CBA All-Rookie Team member Sean Lampley and 2001-02 CBA-to-NBA call up Mike James.
In the same four Pro Leagues last summer, 2001-02 CBA players held 26 roster spots on NBA teams.
