Cavalry FC News Release
Cavalry FC and the Spruce Meadows Leg Up Foundation are proud to announce several charity initiatives planned during the club's home games throughout the month of June, in an effort to give back to the community.
On Saturday, June 11th, Cavalry FC will host the HFX Wanderers on ATCO Field at Spruce Meadows for a match that has been dedicated to Calgary's local Indigenous communities in honour of National Indigenous History Month. At this match, fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate to the Iyahrhe-Nakoda Food Bank Society and patches will be sold in the Cavalry Shop (in person and online-while supplies last) also in support of the food bank. The Stoney Nakoda Nation is facing a devastating opioid and food shortage crisis. Your donation will help address food insecurity in the Stoney Nakoda Nation and help build a healthier, thriving community.
As well, 50/50 tickets will be sold by the Spruce Meadows Leg Up Foundation benefitting the Canadian Mental Health Association.
Arrive early for Happy Hour Specials in the Big Rock Pavilion and to enjoy DJ Chris Brennan-see you then!
