'Cats take two of three versus Vipers

Edmonton, AB-The Edmonton Cracker-Cats won their second game in as many nights, as they beat the Vipers 6-2, in front of 784 fans in TELUS Field.

Starting pitcher Nick Peterson got the victory and went 6 very strong innings, increasing his record to 2-3 on the season. His numbers were as follows, 4H, 1R, 1EE, 2BB, 6SO, 0WP, 0BK,1HP,0IBB,22AB,24BF,7FO,5GO. Orlando Miller hit his first home run of the season in the bottom of the third inning.

Ryan Schurman got the start for the Vipers. He also pitched 6 innings, but dropped his record to 1-4. The numbers on Schurman, 8H, 6R, 6ER, 2BB, 3SO, 0WP, 0BK, 1HP, 0IBB, 23AB, 27BF, 9FO, 4GO.

The Golden League All Star game takes over the schedule for the next three days. Edmonton's own Joe Jiannetti will suit up for the Golden League All Stars as they take on the best of the United League in San Angelo on Tuesday, July 15th. To listen to the game live, check out baseballjuice.com.

The Cracker-Cats next home game is this Thursday, July 17th as the 'Cats take on the Yuma Scorpions. Game time for that one is 7:05.
