Cats Season Ends in 4-3 Overtime Loss

The Moncton Wildcats ended their season and hopes for the Memorial Cup with a 4-3 overtime loss to the defending champion Windsor Spitfires on Tuesday night in Brandon, Manitoba.

The first period ended in a 1-1 tie, the Spitfires scored the only goal of the second, the Wildcats tied the game and went ahead 3-2 in the first three minutes of the third. Windsor tied the game just over two minutes later and got the winner at 12:22 of overtime.

The Wildcats will arrive back in Moncton on Wednesday afternoon at 4pm at the Shell Building at the old airport site. Fans are invited to come out and welcome the team home.
