Cats' Foster named Player of the Week

Fort Worth Cats' first baseman Jordan Foster has been selected as the Central League's Player of the Week.

Foster batted .444 (12-for-27) with a homer, six doubles and 15 RBI in six games with the Cats last week. He helped the Cats complete a four-game sweep of Pensacola and finish off an 8-1 home stand.

The former Fort Worth Nolan Catholic High School star has a .333 batting average with three home runs and 48 runs batted in.

Foster is the fourth Cat to receive the weekly honor from the CBL. Mike Smith was named Pitcher of the Week on June 20. Carlos Adolfo (June 6) and Terence Green (May 15) have also received Player of the Week honors this season.
