The Cats picked up a win in game three of the four game series with the Willmar Stingers Wednesday night with a 5-2 win at TbayTel Park.
Johnny York (St. Mary's College Of CA) picked up his first win of the season in his second appearance pitching seven innings allowing only two runs while striking out five. Both Cole Stapler (Nicholls State) and Nate Steger (Winston Salem State) pitched a scoreless inning a piece in relief while Staple notched his third save of the year.
Grant McKown (Florida Tech) got the Cats started with an RBI double in the first inning while the fourth inning runs were courtesy of a wild pitch from Willmar.
The Cats hope to split the series tomorrow at TbayTel Park at 7:05pm.
