Nicola Riopel is looking forward to a Question and Answer get together with his fans at the Slapshots Restaurant of the 4-Plex tonight at 6:30. Rio led the Wildcats to a league record lowest goal against average in its 40 year history. He'll also be signing autographs during the first and second intermission of tonight's night's exhibition game. The Wildcats and Halifax Mooseheads clash at the 4-Plex at 7. Doors open at 6. Ticket prices are $7.00 regular, $5.00 for students and seniors with children under six admitted without charge.

Rio was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in June's NHL draft. He's expected to spend the season with the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League.

A mix of Vets and Rookies tonight. The Wildcats coaching staff says a mix of rookies and veterans will form the line-up for tonight's game against Halifax. This will be the last home exhibition game for the Wildcats. They play in Halifax tomorrow night and next weekend will play a pair of games on PEI. Next Friday's match will be at the Charlottetown Civic Centre with Saturday's game going at the O'Leary Community Sports Centre. It's the annual Cavendish Cup, a two game total goal series between the Cats and PEI Rocket. Won last year by the Island team.

Registration forms for the Cats Cup to be played on Main Street on Saturday, September 19th as part of the Home Opening Weekend will be available at the Booster Club table at tonight's game.

Time to pickup Season Flex packages:

Holders of flex packages for the 2009-2010 season will be able to pick up their Flex Packs at the Wildcats office at the Coliseum starting on Monday, August 31st from 10 am to 6pm. If you wish to redeem your flex tickets, prior to public sale, you can do so at the Coliseum Box Office from September 1-4. Individual single game tickets will go on sale starting September 5th. Those who have season seats are reminded that September 9th is the pickup date. Details to follow.

Euro arrives this weekend:

Marek Hrivik, the 18 year old, 6'2", 183 pound Slovakian player drafted by the Wildcats is expected to arrive in Moncton this weekend. He'll begin working out with the team during Monday's practice session at the 4-Plex.
