FORT WORTH-- The Fort Worth Cats (42-26) handed the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings (32-37) their seventh straight loss with a 5-0 shut out win Saturday night at LaGrave field.
The Cats broke a scoreless tie on a bases loaded walk, Ryan Miller drew a walk scoring Luany Sanchez from third.
Cameron Monger scored Chris Chistopoulos on a sacrifice fly making it 2-0 Cats .
Fort Worth loaded the bases again in the top of the fifth, Greg Bachman scored on a bases loaded walk adding to their lead 3-0.
The Cats added one more run in the bottom of the sixth on a RBI single from Chris Ellison scoring Monger from third 4-0 Cats.
A late two out error from Mike Wolford proved costly in the bottom of the seventh, Kori Mello later scored on a Ryan Miller double, adding to the lead making it 5-0.
Game two is set for Sunday with the first pitch set for a special 6:05 p.m. start.
