Kitchener Rangers News Release
Kitchener Rangers' Michael Catenacci has signed with Dusseldorf of the DEL (German Elite League).
Originally acquired by the Kitchener Rangers in the 8th round of the 2007 OHL Priority Selection Draft, Catenacci has spent the past five seasons with Kitchener.
He was a hard-working veteran centre who continued to improve his numbers every season with Kitchener. His tremendous puck pursuit made him a constant threat to create turnovers and an effective penalty killer.
As Team Captain during the 2011-12 season, Catenacci averaged over a point per game and was ranked third hardest worker in the Western Conference Coaches Poll.
Catenacci was honoured with two awards at the Kitchener Rangers Annual Awards Banquet in 2012 including Most Valuable Player.
