Castro, Lo Shine in Futures Game

Corpus Christi Hooks News Release
ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Hooks may have stumbled in Arkansas Sunday, but the Hooks that were in Missouri shone brightly in the XM All-Star Futures Game at Busch Stadium.
Catcher Jason Castro slugged a three-run home run for the U.S. Futures, while reliever Chia-Jen Lo tossed an inning of shutout ball to get the win for the World Futures.
Castro's blast to right in the fifth gave the U.S. squad a 5-3 lead. He also threw out Luis Durango trying to steal third in the top half of the fifth. Castro entered the game in the fifth and finished 1-for-2 at the plate.
Castro likely would have been the game's MVP were it not for the World team's four-run rally in the seventh to defeat the U.S. 7-5.
Lo tossed a shutout inning of relief in the sixth for the World Futures. A throwing error behind him spoiled his shot at a 1-2-3 inning. He ended up walking two and striking out one.
Castro, Lo and manager Luis Pujols are scheduled to rejoin the Hooks in time for Monday night's game at Northwest Arkansas. Pujols was a coach for the World team.
