Maywood Buzz News Release
Carson, CA. General Manager Burrel Lee III has announced that the Orange County Buzz will move to the City of Carson, California. "We thought about a name change long and hard. Kevin Lau, Assistant GM, and I looked at the pros and cons. At the end of the day, we were in agreement that we will remain the Buzz," stated Lee. "A new logo, new website and a new look team is just the start for us," added Lee.
The Carson Buzz will tip off in November in a new city, but the same name. "We got some history with the Buzz and to just toss it we felt was not cool," said Lau. "This move is big for us and we have the HoneyBees Dance Team, Jr. Buzz Club and also our fans around the ABA such as in Tijuana and other cities that follow us on our internet radio show, BuzzCast Radio," added Lau.
We would like to announce our website, www.carsonbuzz.com which will be up and running by the weekend. Our website will feature video of both our dance and team tryouts, daily updates, fan message board, coach's corner, tip and drill of the week and much more. Our website is going to be a very valuable asset to our team and sponsors. The Carson Buzz will be a key fixture in the community and as well in the surrounding communities. We will be announcing the HoneyBees and Basketball Team tryouts later this week. For more information on the Carson Buzz, visit www.carsonbuzz.com, email info@carsonbuzz.net, call 310 493 4391 or visit www.abalive.com.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
