
Carolina RailHawks Women Face Carolina Dynamo In Season Opener

Cary, NC - The Carolina RailHawks women will have their final preseason practice on Friday May 9th at 6:30 PM at WakeMed Soccer Park before their season opener in Greensboro, NC against the newly re-formed Carolina Dynamo on Saturday, May 10th at 5:30 PM. The RailHawks Women's Inaugural Season Home Opener will be the following Friday, May 16th at 7:30 PM at WakeMed Soccer Park and tickets ($10, $15 and $20) are still available at the LGFCU Box Office by calling 919-859-KICK (859-5425) and at all Ticketmaster outlets.
The Carolina Dynamo return to the W-League in 2008 after sitting out the 2007 season and concentrating all their efforts on the PDL team. Current RailHawks defender Tara Knauss was on the 2006 Dynamo team before spending the 2007 season in Finland.
"It is truly exciting to be back in the United States to play competitive soccer," said Knauss, an NC State Alumna. "I really prefer the style of soccer here and look forward to begin this adventure with such a quality organization. I believe we have a very competitive team and hopefully we will be able to bring back a positive result from Greensboro."
The Carolina RailHawks Women will return to the Triangle and face off in a friendly scrimmage against the US Armed Forces Women's National Team on Tuesday, May 13th at 8:00 PM at WRAL Soccer Center in Raleigh in preparation of their WakeMed Soccer Park debut against the Atlanta Silverbacks on Friday, May 16th at 7:30 PM.
The Carolina RailHawks men's next home match is on Saturday, May 10th at WakeMed Soccer Park at 7:30 PM against the Atlanta Silverbacks and the Carolina RailHawks Women will make their Cary debut on Friday May 16th at 7:30 PM at WakeMed Soccer Park against the Atlanta Silverbacks' Women side.
