
Carolina RailHawks Host UNC-Chapel Hill Tar Heels

Cary, NC (Tuesday, April 8th, 2008) - The Tar Heels of UNC-Chapel Hill will face the Carolina RailHawks on Field Two at WakeMed Soccer Park on Wednesday, April 9th at 7:00 PM. Tickets for this event are $5 and fans are encouraged to come and see how the RailHawks are preparing for the 2008 Season.
"We'll be playing a lot of our starters now that we are three weeks into preseason," said RailHawks Head Coach Scott Schweitzer. "We are going to build on continuity and flow of play as well as taking our last couple of looks at some of the players still at training camp."
The Tar Heels are led by Cary RailHawks U-23 midfielder Michael Callahan and by forward Bill Dworski who were recently named to the All-ACC Academic Squad for maintaining a GPA of over 3.0 throughout their academic career while excelling on the field. The RailHawks will look to forwards Jacob Coggins and Joel Bailey to get some early goals in before testing lineups in preparation for the beginning of the USL-1 Season in Atlanta April 19th.
The Carolina RailHawks men's team home opener at WakeMed Soccer Park is on April 26th at 7:30 PM against the Charleston Battery. The newly-formed Carolina RailHawks women's professional team will have its home debut on May 16th at 7:30 pm against the Atlanta Silverbacks.
