CARY, N.C. - The Carolina RailHawks announced today that they have partnered with Medfusion, a leading provider of healthcare communication solutions. Medfusion will be designated as the Official Heathcare IT Provider of the Carolina RailHawks.
"We are thrilled to partner with Medfusion as they are leaders in healthcare technology and work every day to make the patient experience better," said RailHawks President and General Manager Curt Johnson. "As a professional soccer organization with a growing fan base, we too are focused on innovation and customer service and are proud to partner in a way that helps Medfusion meet the healthcare communications needs of the professional soccer audience locally and nationally."
Medfusion plans to leverage the sponsorship to promote their new Medfusion Plus app. Medfusion Plus is a free mobile app that puts a patient's entire medical record in the palm of their hand across multiple providers, labs and locations. Caregivers can also consolidate the records of their children, aging parents or anyone they coordinate care for, including upcoming appointments, prescribed medications, lab results and more.
As part of the partnership, the Medfusion Plus logo will be featured on the back of the Carolina RailHawks jerseys. Fans will be able to see the new jersey with the Medfusion Plus logo starting this Saturday, June 11 as the RailHawks travel to Indianapolis to face the Indy Eleven. The jersey will make its home debut at the US Open Cup match against the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer on Wednesday, June 15 at 7:30 p.m.
Based in Cary, N.C., Medfusion has grown from a medical website development company to a world-class healthcare IT company focused on improving the patient experience. The company's solutions streamline and simplify a number of overly complicated interactions and transactions, including patient-provider communications, patient payments, and cross-platform health records.
"This partnership is a great way to get our consumer healthcare app Medfusion Plus in front of a large base of tech-savvy consumers," said Medfusion CEO Kimberly Labow. "We were founded in 2000 in the Triangle and have strived to be an integral part of the community ever since. As the RailHawks grow, we are looking to grow alongside them."
Voted one of the best places to work by the Triangle Business Journal in 2014, Medfusion's dedication to the community is unparalleled, and this partnership is a testament to the organization's commitment to grow the local business community.
