Match Preview: The Carolina RailHawks (10W-7D-11L; 37 pts; 6th place) will stay in Cary, N.C. for a Wednesday, Oct. 12 match against Rayo OKC at 7:30 p.m. at WakeMed Soccer Park. This is the final of three meetings against Rayo OKC (8W-11D-9L; 35 pts; 8th place) with the most recent match taking place just weeks ago on October 2. The RailHawks lead the series with a 3-2 win on April 9 and a draw in early October. April's win came after a dominant display from Austin da Luz, who scored two of Carolina's three goals, while Aly Hassan added the third. More recently, Rayo OKC and the RailHawks finished a 1-1 draw after Matt Watson and Oklahoma's Futty Danso both netted the ball in stoppage time.

Last Time Out: The RailHawks are coming off a purely dominant 3-0 win over the Fort Lauderdale Strikers on Sunday, October 9 at WakeMed Soccer Park. The offensive onslaught from the RailHawks began in the 25th minute with a headed goal from Austin da Luz. Brian Shriver added a tally 17 minutes later off a set piece play. Nazmi Albadawi picked up his 10th assist on Shriver's goal, as he broke a modern-day era NASL record for the most assists in a single season. Finally, Matt Watson added Carolina's third goal in 82nd minute with a powerful shot from outside the box. The win puts the RailHawks only one point behind the fourth place Minnesota United FC team.

Players to Watch: #8 Matt Watson Rayo OKC will have to keep an eye on Matt Watson, Carolina's goal scorer in their 1-1 draw against Oklahoma the last time the teams met. In the match, Watson broke through with the first goal of the game with a powerful shot from outside the box that found its way past Daniel Fernandes in stoppage time. Watson also added a goal in Carolina's win over the Strikers on Sunday, giving the midfielder two goals in his past two games. Always a dangerous threat, Watson commands attention from opposing teams for his risk taking and speedy style of play.

#98 Futty Danso A former member of the RailHawks, Futty Danso also scored the last time Rayo OKC and the RailHawks met, as Danso added a tally just seconds after Watson. The defender has scored three goals this year, while also adding an assist. A backbone of Rayo OKC's defense, Danso has started 28 games this year. Carolina will have to make an effort to shut down the offensively-minded defenseman.

Coming Up Next: The RailHawks have a quick turn around with a Saturday, October 15 match at Carroll Stadium in Indianapolis against the Indy Eleven at 7:30 p.m. ET. The two teams have split wins this season. Indy Eleven took a 4-1 decision in their home stadium on June 11, but the RailHawks countered with a 3-2 win at WakeMed Soccer Park on August 20. This game will be broadcast live on WRAL2, TWC SportsChannel and beIN SPORTS.

West Ham United Jersey Auction to benefit Equality NC: The RailHawks are auctioning off West Ham United jerseys to benefit Equality NC, a local advocacy group dedicated to securing equal rights and justice for LGBTQ North Carolinians. Now through October 15, 10 jerseys will be up for auction signed by over 10 West Ham United players including fan favorites Andy Carroll, Pedro Obiang and Manuel Lanzini.
