Amarillo Bulls News Release

The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO Harris Bank, the official G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, fell to the Canton Charge 105-101 Tuesday night despite a career night by rookie center Simi Shittu.

Shittu dominated down low throughout the contest, dropping a career-high 32 points on .652 from the field and a career-high 21 rebounds, including ten on the offensive glass.

Canton leapt out to a quick lead in the contest on 6-for-12 shooting from three-point range in the first quarter.

Windy City battled back behind eight points and four rebounds from Shittu in the opening frame to trim the deficit to six but trailed 29-19 after one.

The Charge maintained a double-digit advantage throughout most of the first half, carrying a 58-48 lead into the break behind 17 points from Levi Randolph and 15 points from J.P. Macura.

Shittu topped the scoring column for the Bulls in the opening 24 minutes with 14 points to go along with eight rebounds. Jaron Blossomgame chipped in 10 points for Windy City.

The two squads played nearly even coming out of halftime with Canton holding an 88-77 lead behind ten points in the third quarter by Macura.

The Bulls rallied late behind Adam Mokoka's 15 points and 11 rebounds, and a clutch three-pointer by Milton Doyle to trim the Canton lead to 103-100 with 18.5 seconds remaining. However key free-throws down the stretch and five players in double-figures pulled out the victory for the Charge on this night, led by Macura with 29 points including 5-for-8 from beyond the arc.

Windy City (17-26) will host the Long Island Nets on Thursday night before traveling to Fort Wayne to visit the Mad Ants on Saturday night.
